Consultant Orthodontist and Specialist in Sleep-Related Disorders
Qualifications: B.D.S, M.Sc(U.Lond.), F.D.S, M,Orth, F.D.S.(Orth), R.C.S.(ENG), Ph.D
Ama is a Professor & Consultant Orthodontist at Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He qualified in dentistry at Sheffield University in 1989 with honours and completed the Membership in Orthodontics (Royal College Surgeons England) and Masters Degree in Orthodontics at Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating with distinction in 1996 and has completed a PhD in Orthodontics.
Both his clinical and research work has been rewarded with numerous National and International prizes from The British Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association, The Craniofacial Society of Great Britain, The General Dental Council, and The Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry. He is an invited lecturer, both nationally and internationally, appearing as a guest speaker at numerous conferences and has published widely in International Journals.
Both his role as a Consultant Orthodontist and his additional training in children’s dentistry have equipped him with the skills to provide the very highest standards of patient care, in a reassuring manner. His specialist clinical interests include providing care for patients with missing teeth and the management of adult patients.
Ama has been actively involved in the training of Dentists and Orthodontists now for over 25 years.
He is one of only 5 practising orthodontists in the UK to have gained full membership to the Angle Society of Europe; a group of Orthodontists dedicated to providing the highest standards of clinical care.
